This original oil painting was painted from a photograph taken one May afternoon at Sherando Lake near Lyndhurst, VA. The island sits in the lake and the mountain behind has a distinctive long rock slide. Sherando Lake is part of the George Washington and Jefferson National Forest and is a popular spot for swimming, camping, hiking, canoeing, kayaking and fishing.

This painting is on 16"x20" canvas. It is varnished and framed with a handsome wide black wood frame with gold leaf accents. An anchor screw is recommended for hanging due to the weight of the painting and frame.
